Liverpool, England: We are both experienced and enthusiastic English teachers, so we can provide a varied course for students. We are very family orientated and have 2 lively, children who enjoy chatting and playing with students. The house is only 3 km away from the City Centre, with good transport links, in a quiet, historic street yet only a minute away is an area with restaurants, bars, shops and a huge public park. We cook mainly organic, vegetarian food and enjoy giving people the Liverpool experience.

Type of Programme
One-to-one, personalised English tuition living full-board with the tutor's own family and in the tutor's own home, including local visits and excursions, meeting friends, neighbours and professional colleagues etc.

Teaching Qualifications and Experience

John and Sam both have :
• Post 16 Cambridge Certificate in Education (ESOL) Level 5
• CELTA Level 4 (TEFL)
• 6 years teaching experience in Adult education, Family Learning and as Homestay tutors.
John has a degree in Sociology and Sam has a Business Studies Degree.

Hobbies and Interests

Within the family one or all of us enjoy yoga, swimming, jogging, cycling, walking and football.
We regularly go to the cinema, grow a lot of vegetables on our allotment,travel when we can, try and live a healthy life including cooking good food. Also books, music and theatre.

Accommodation

The bedroom is very large and private at the top of the house. There is a living area with a sofa, a study area and a sleeping area with a large bed. You get a view of the Welsh hills on a clear day.

Excursions and Local Attractions

Anyone visiting Liverpool (2008 European Capital of Culture) will have a great time. Whether you like music, theatre, sport, architecture, museums, transport. We have 5 museums, including the Maritime and Beatles museums. There are two cathedrals on the same street, many art galleries to visit, Chinatown, the Pier Head (a World Heritage Site) and you can take the famous ‘ferry across the Mersey’ or you can just walk around the City Centre and look at some of the best Victorian architecture in the UK. Near Liverpool there is the Roman walled town of Chester, Manchester and Wales.
