Boston, UK: We are a friendly family who enjoy hosting students. Stay with us in our beautiful grade II listed former rectory. We are situated in peaceful countryside not far from the sea but just a short drive from Boston with its coffee shops, cinema, bowling alley and twice weekly market.Further afield is Lincoln and its historic cathedral and castle and more modern shopping centre.

Teaching Qualifications and Experience

I have taught English in schools while living in France and am an experienced homestay tutor. I am a qualified EFL teacher (Cambridge CELTA) and am also qualified to teach adult education. I have attended further courses on teaching young learners and business English.

Hobbies and Interests

Crafts, sewing, silversmithing, cooking, gardening, reading, property development, travel.
I have a technology enthusiast son, a sportmad son and a musical daughter.


The are two rooms. Both are bright with large original sash windows and a fireplace. They each have an antique chest of drawers and table, one also has a large antique mirrored wardrobe. Both rooms have a comfortable double bed with cotton bedlinen and feather duvet.

Boston: The market, The Stump (tallest parish church in the country), numerous working windmills, excellent sports facilities, tennis club, athletics club, swimming pool, cinema, RSPB reserves, golf course.
Nearby National Trust and English Heritage properties: Belton House, Tattershall Castle, Gunby Hall, Bolingbroke Castle, Easton Walled Gardens, Burghley House, Woolsthorpe Manor (home of Sir Isaac Newton and his famed apple tree).
Lincoln: Shopping, castle and cathedral.
Skegness: Pleasure beach amusement park, Natureland seal sanctuary, Gibralter point wildlife reserve, beach, rock and kiss-me-quick hats, fish and chips (full English sea-side experience).
Local towns to visit: Stamford, Horncastle.
