The Renaisssance town of Schaffhausen is situated on the Rhine on the German border (Europe's largest waterfall is down the road) in Northern Switzerland, Lac Constance, Zurich, Basel and the Alps a all a short hop away, Switzerland offers astounding variety, beautiful countryside, elegant cities, art, culture, food and the worlds' most extended railway network, the multi-cultural and international outlook make visitors welcome whilst the quaint customs add spice and interest, there will be plenty to do in any season, on the German side the Black Forest beckons, whilst the Allgau is also a top tourist destinations, there are plenty of airports serving the area and transport links are good
